MP Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd., as a leader in integrated healthcare business, proudly announces the success of its subsidiary Health Plus Global Laboratory (HPG Laboratory) in signing a collaboration with Bangkok Eye Hospital to launch “Eye Guard Genetics”, a genetic testing service designed to elevate the standard of eye health care for the Thai people.

The signing ceremony took place on September 8, 2025, at Bangkok Eye Hospital, with Associate Professor Dr. Anant Wongthongsi, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Bangkok Eye Hospital, and Ms. Natthaporn Boonbubpha, Chief Executive Officer of HPG Laboratory, signing the agreement, witnessed by executives from both organizations.

Eye Guard Genetics: A new step in eye health care

HPG Laboratory applies internationally standardized testing technology, an ISO 15189 accredited laboratory, and a team of genomics experts in developing “Eye Guard Genetics.” This genetic-level test is designed to assess the risk of eye diseases that often manifest only in advanced stages. The test can identify risks for six major diseases:

1. Age-related Macular Degeneration

2. Glaucoma

3. Sjögren’s Syndrome

4. Uveitis

5. Corneal Dystrophy

6. Birdshot Chorioretinopathy

This testing empowers individuals to understand their risks in advance, plan preventive care early, and reduce the chance of future vision loss.
